TOUR 3: Florence City Tour (Full Day) – Saturday 15th July

830am Depart Prato from Piazza del Carceri.

Places you will visit on this tour are:- Piazza Duomo with the Cathedral dominated by the marvellous Cupola del Brunelleschi. Campanile di Giotto and the Baptistry; Piazza San Lorenzo with the important Basilica di San Lorenzo and the Medicean Chapels; Piazza Vecchio and Loggia della Signoria; Piazza Santa Croce.
Time at leisure for lunch or shopping.

In the afternoon visit the Academy Gallery, famous for its sculptures by Michelangelo, which include the Prisoners, the St Matthew and the statue of David. The holdings comprise mostly religious paintings by major artists working in and around Florence between the mid-13th and the late 16th centuries. The collection is especially important for its gold-ground paintings.
