TOUR 1: Lucca and Pisa [Full Day] – Sunday 9 July

8:30am – departure from Piazza delle Carceri.

Commence the drive towards Lucca, one of the most attractive cities of Tuscany surrounded by walls. Visit the Romanesque Cathedral dedicates to St Martin, St Michael in Foro Church, built from the 8th Century to the 11th Century. Visit the unique oval shaped Piazza Amphitheatre, where the houses were built on the foundation of an ancient Roman Imperial amphitheatre. Continue to Pisa, an ancient maritime power, famous for its Leaning Tower, an architectural project gone terribly wrong but worldwide famous.

Lunch will be offered at a local restaurant.

After lunch enjoy the Piazza dei Miracoli and its monuments. The tower is only one element of the Romanesque beauties around the green carpet of Campo die Maricaoli, the most memorable square. Visit the Cathedral, the baptistery and the Cemetery. Free time will be allowed for souvenir shopping or rest. 5:00pm commence the drive back to Prato.
