In the implementation of Knowledge Management, my organisation uses the people, process and technolgy approach. Having the awareness that KM implementation is basically a people focused project, we initated our KM implementation with a change management approach. Being an organisation with 32 branch offices and 7000 employees, we adopt the participatory approach and use metaphor in story telling as a driver to change. We create imaginary figures to describe the expected attitude and behavior as well as the target in the future. Those imaginary figures are implemented in various kinds of communication platform such as comic, mascot, posters, presentation background booklet, seminar kits etc. Slowly we alter the hero in the story into the real human being, those who has made a significant change and made them the hero of change. We made a book out of the experience of our heroes in creating change.
